Crafters will find upgraded recipes for shields, orbs, and other (crafted) secondary slot items in their recipe books.

 

Visit Purrla, either in your home town’s crafting instance, or in the shrine at the entrance to Lavastorm! To get started with all the new fun.

 

One of the new things that will happen is that we get new Guild Hall Trophies, The crafter will have to head over to the vendors who sell the AA mirror recipe to pick up a new recipe for making a base for the trophie, So that you can place it in the guild hall.

 

Looks like the Far Seas trading co is going to be a big part of this. Check out the wording…  “The Far Seas Trading Company is looking for help investigating the crafting skills of the goblins. There may be some trading opportunities to be had.”

 

With GU51 the new trade skill stuff is not just in one place. At some point you will need to go talk to Madria Varas in Mara, who will direct you to take an airship from the Moors to help them out.

 

There is one thing I don’t know if I like or not. It’s the fact there will be some things that you must kill to get ingredients for your recipes. The role player side of me say’s “woot”, but I don’t know if you should make a crafter kill to beable to make things.

I will just have to wait and see how I feel about it after having to do it a bunch of times.

EQ2 (AB) Guild name: Insurrection 02/22/2009

Gulmuth is my co-leader of the guild and he recruited our first official member yesterday. Every one before had joined us at the start and we are all ingame or real life friends. We have allso picked up a few more real life friends,  after reopening the guild. As of last week we got our website up and running, and added our Rules and Creed to it. I am going to add a post to the eq2 AB server forums tonight and start recruiting first thing monday, after I have harvested and knocked out my 20 rush orders for the week.

I dinged level 80 as a Carpenter last night, so with that, all my alt’s will git a small boost of XP on crafting with them now.

 

After dinging a few of us headed over to fallen gate and did a run on it. I was surprised at how many groups that was in FG. As old as it is, I was thinking not many people played in it any more. But of course, Thats what they may have been thinking as well. Gulmuth was on his Guardian and Dried(my real life brother) was allso on an alt. Benyen(webmaster for our site) and I was on our main’s. I din’t have any thing that could go in the zone yet. Well yes I did, but it was allso a guardian, and he has all ready done a run on Fallen gate. Gulmuth’s alt started out at level 24 and by thie time we made it all the way down to the bottom he was level 28. I think it was level 28, it may have been 29. No wipes and and Gulmuth and Dreid(on his alt) got a lot of AA’s from all the names. We are going to start off on the lowwer zones like fallen gate and do one every week as we can fit them in so that as many members can do the run’s with us.

 

Oh dang allmost forgot to tell you. Dreid my brother, The one who pushed me to start the guild back up. Has left the guild. I felt that he would do that at some point. He is more of a raider than anything and needed to find a raid guild, so that he can get his raid on. Dreid was allso a co-leader, and I would say we would miss him, but despite him leaving the guild, He seems to allways be around( bro, you know I joke). He has all of his alt’s still in the guild. The only thing is that he steped down from being a leader, and we felt that he should go down to being a senior member. I have left guilds before, because there leader(s) and/or officer(s) was in othere guilds. So that they could do raids. The thing is, It allways seemed that the raid allways came first. So we din’t want any one getting upset with Dreid for being in another guild that did raids.

 

Well thats about it for the guild update. Wish us luck as we start to try to grow and I will let you know how things are going in a week or two.

EQ2 GU51 Lavastorm Solo Content

(Not going to copy and paste, Just follow the links to read the all ready well written post.)

 

In the first Lavastorm Revamp Preview 

“Why has the face of Lavastorm changed? The Mistress of Elemental Magic, Najena, is making her presence felt“

There will be:

• A new x2 dungeon
• New solo content for high- and mid-level adventurers
• A new x4 raid zone
• A new crafting zone

 

 

Now they are letting us in on some of the new things with this latest preview Lavastorm Solo Content

With wording like this “The beach areas at the entrance have been extended” it makes me think that by “we are adding to lavestorm” from the first preview, it’s just not NPC’s and mob’s. Looks as if they are adding land mass to it as well.

Allso check out this part “Najena has conjured elemental horses to speed travel through the zone” I for one am not happy to read this part. I have not injoyed any of the land base travel. To me it just doesn’t look right at all.

I like this part “If you helped her (Pallasa Rargen) out at the beginning of the Void’s invasion into Norrath over the summer, she’ll remember you fondly“

(Voice Fonts)Hey EQ2, Did we forget something last year?

My RP friends and I was talking the othere night about how cool it was going to be when eq2 added the voice fonts to the game. What voice fonts you ask? Well at the same time we all found out that we was going to get our own ingame voice chats they allso said we would get more later on that year(2008). Well that time has come and gone. I was hoping that maybe it would be in TSO, Then I was hoping for GU51, but I have seen nothing on this, maybe I over looked it.

Timeless Garden clock shows the world your green side

I love electronic gadgets that work without batteries or needing to be plugged in. Sure, with many of them the savings are more symbolic than meaningful, but with the Timeless Garden clock, you get a double dose of eco friendly symbolism.

Using organisms in the soil to create a chemical reaction that results in a tiny electric charge, the Timeless Garden should work as long as the plant life is kept alive. A side benefit is that the grass will also extract a tiny amount of carbon from the air, while releasing a minute amount of oxygen. Still, I wonder whether the amount of greening over the lifetime of the clock is sufficient to cover the carbon generated by making it and shipping it from China.

Self powered clocks aren’t exactly new, but at least this one will keep working when the sun goes down.

Dear EQ2,

 You know I love you. I tell people that I am a SOE Fan Boy all the time. Now keep my love for the you in mind as I talk to you about EverQuest II.

 

 I know that you would do any thing for your games and you are allways trying to make them more fun. The thing is I have played on the Antonia Bayle server in EQ2 from about 6 months into the game. Minus a year, When I had no internet. The AB sever has been one of the big one’s for a very long time and we who play on her know that it allways takes longer for things to be fixed on our server. For the most part we sit looking at Antonia Bayle Server Locked under our toons in the character select window, when all the other severs are up and running. We don’t say much,  when we die to spell lag. Because at some point we all die or have a group/raid wipe because of spell lag. 

 

The Last few months on the Antonia Bayle server has been a nightmare to play on. Character crashes, EQ2 crash, and sometimes after one of them two you can’t log back in for over and hour or so because the game see you still as playing ingame. People in the game don’t even see you as LD. Nothing, your character is just standing there doing nothing. Game lag is getting out of control. If you don’t under stand my meaning of game lag, I mean the Spell lag, The Zone lag, and the Ping rates going out of sight. Now I know that some of this could be just me and my PC, But I know that the Zone/Spell Lag is more than just me. To many people that I have talked to has been having the same thing happen to them.

I don’t know if it had any thing to do with it or if it was when we all started to see it, but about a month before the TSO expansion went live is when the spell lag showed up.

 

The bad thing about this is when the game should be in top notch shape, It seems that it is sliding down hill.

Please for my love of the game fix all of the lag.

EQ2 (AB) Guild name: Insurrection

Well it’s been a few weeks, and we have got a lot of stuff done in the guild. First we hit guild level 30 and got our guild hall up and running. The one thing that I had forgotten was at guild level 30 all we got was 5 things that we could add to the guild. So we did the old bell, druid ring, the call call to the guild, that thing that will send you to your house/home, and the guild broker. At guild level 35 I think we said we was going to add the fuel man/woman and a banker.

 

We allso added one more person to the guild, It’s and old friend from way back. We allso got a real guild website up. We have started gitting all the things up and wording right for the rules and thing like that. I feel that with in the next week, we will start recruiting new members. I beleave we will start looking for new to the game and people that are starting over with new accounts. We will allso take any one that wants to join up, but I don’t see I will be looking for  med to high level player, or a raid players yet. I just don’t see them  staying with our very small guild.

 

We have been trying to not just feel up our guild hall, but make look good. This ahrd to do for me, because what I see in my mind and what it looks like is not all ways the same. Out of 6 rooms in our T1 guild hall we only have one room done 100%, and that is one of the small room. We did make a Crafting room, but we split up the room and added wall wall deviders and added a 2nd floor to it. We allso added wall deviders to the back room with the big window. We split that room up and made a nature room for the role player people.

 

I know we have a long way to go, but things seem to be coming along. I don’t want to rush this and take our time building the guild with friends. Every guild I have ever been in or was leader of, we started this way going slow and then for what ever reason we went and rushed it up. Adding ton’s of poeple and no one knowing any one. I hope we as a guild will hold our self back and keep it nice and slow. adding people slow and gitting to know them as we grow.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Thank god you got payed on friday, because now it’s time to go spend it all, if you have not allready done so.

 I remember a long time ago I wanted to make it a special valentines day. So I sat down and made a love note. This was not something that came easy to me, as I can’t write for nothing. My spelling is awful and there was no google for me back then as it is now. Yes I google words all the time to try and get it right. Like just now, no idea if it should be “git” or “get”.  And forget about how to put a sentence together.  Any way this took me a few night to put together and I was proud that I din’t do as all my friends and just go buy something. I took real time and put my hart into this love note. I allso took the time to cook for her. This again, I was thinking that I was doing something that she was going to love. As you can tell in the way I am writing this, It din’t go the way I was thinking. When we talked that morning and I told her that I wanted to make dinner for her. She said something like “oh, ok then”. I remember thinking that din’t sound good, but soon put it out of mind telling myself that it was just the fact that she had just got up the the day. She was not a morning person. Anyway I got all dressed up and went to pick her up, to find her in her wearing her everyday clothes. Then on the way to my home she kelp telling me where each of her friends was going to go out and eat. To top the night off was when I handed her my love note to her. The look on her face as she saw what I had got her for valentine’s as she said thanks, and fliped it open, and closed it allmost as fast. Now this was not just a one pager note. This was the size of a child’s book.

Now I am not saying every woman/girl out there is like the one I had way back then. I am just saying don’t be a fool and just go out and buy something for her. Take her out for that $300 dinner and you will be fine for the day, and you can Live to see anothere day.

I’m bored at work and just started playing around and this came out. I thought it was a little funny and hope that you do to.

 

I want to talk about my staff for a bit. My staff is not like othere staffs. My staff is big, long and magical. It sometimes seems to have a mind of it’s own, and it git’s me in a lot of trouble. Just the othere night I was taking a walk, and this young lady came up to me and started talking about how big and long my staff was. I pointed out that it was not just big and long, but it was magical too. She asked if I wouldn’t mind if she was to use my staff. Being the man I am, and allways ready to help a lady in need. I let her know that I would be happy to let her use my staff. So she showed me into her house. Where, with help from me, She started using my staff. About that time her husband came in. He did not look like he liked the fact that his wife was using my staff. As I could see he had his own staff in hand. He started to yell at her, She told him that she needed a big long staff, Me adding the fact that it was magical as well did not help matters. Any way after many hours of hiding out as her husband and his friends went looking for me. I made my way out of town.

There is a nothere thing about my staff. My staff is bent to the right. People think that it’s because I use my right hand the most, but I tell you my staff has allways been bent to the right, and for the most part it works better that way. Like a few nights back some friends and I was out beaver hunting. As you know beavers like there holes. With my big long magical staff that is bent to the right I was able to  stick the staff way into the hole and with it being bent, I scraped the sides of the hole to be able to dig out the beaver. This works realy good and I seem to pop a many of beaver this was.

If you would like to have your very own big long magical staff that may or may not be bent. Head on out to a store near you in norrath. and ask for your own. I like the the conjuror staff’s the best.

EQ2 GU51 not looking for it any time soon

Heirlooms, and a nice chunk of the little stuff from GU51 is in live. This is not a good thing. Why is that? Well I’ll tell you, For them to go on and push this stuff on into the live servers means that they are not going to put the big stuff like Lavastorm Revamp, and the Fighter Revamp into live for a long time. Think about it. If you was going to put something that big into your game any time soon , as in 2 or 3 weeks from now. You would have kelp out this small stuff till then. So I don’t see GU51 going live for at lest a month from now. With luck it want come out just brfore GU52, And yes they have started on that Game Update allready, Or at lest its in the planing stage.

If you would like to try and keep up with when GU’s are going live. Go on and mark Feb as the month that GU51 came out even if it’s not. EQ2 has done a real good job about getting the GU’s out every 3 months. And I would count on GU52 coming out sometime in May.
