EQ2 (AB server) Guild name: Insurrection

A few thing have happen in the last two weeks for us at Insurrection. First off I want to give the bad news.

As you allready know we are a small guild, a very small guild. We had (yes I said had) 9 members in the guild. This last week we had three of our members go there own way. They wanted to try this guild thing out for them self. They started there own guild, No idea what there guild name is and I wish them the best of luck. So our very small guild got smaller.

Now for the better news.

We did pick up a new member and it’s there first time to play EQ2. I feel that this is where we will find the members that we need to grow. Now this new member is not just some one that we just pick up from the side of the road. They are RL friends with some of our other members. We still are staying away from starting to invite people into the guild, as we realy want to git the guild hall up and running before we start. Speaking of the guild hall, We was only 25% away for dinging guild level 30 as of last night when I logged out for the night. I feel like we should have lvl 30 done and over with by the time I get home from work. If not I will make sure it’s done not long after I log in. We are allso well above the 100 plat that I wanted to start with.

May weekend will be tied up making stuff for the guild hall, Oh that right I did not tell that yet. I hit Carp lvl 76 some time this past week. I allso made lvl 74 as a Conji as well. I have not played that much othere than writ’s and rush orders for the guild. All othere times have been playing with some new Alt’s.

any way, been having fun playing the game with my friends and can’t wait to git started on the guild hall.

EQ2 GU 51 Delayed ?

I did not see this coming, The GU 51 looks to be delayed.

 

In the EverQuest II Producer’s Letter (1/30/2009)

Bruce “Froech” Ferguson said “There are still some things we want to make sure that we address properly, and we recognize that there are some people who don’t quite understand what our goals are. With that in mind, we’re going to postpone releasing these changes to the live servers, while we continue to evaluate the feedback that you are giving us“

Erollisi Day starts on February 10, and I bet that is when it would have went live.  Froech (looks like this is what he wants to be called) did not give any time frame to when this will go live now. It looks like we all need to start watching the test sever forums for what is going on, That is, If you can make it past all the crap that allways seems to pop up in any forums.

Eq2 GU51 new info link and what month I think it will go live.

Here is a real fast link to EQ2 players website. It must be getting close to going live with them putting this up.

Just remember that SOE does GU’s every 3 months, or there abouts around that time frame. TOS and  GU 50 went live in November of 2008 so that should put GU51 going live sometime in February 2009 .

(EDIT: February 2009  and not January.  Sorry for that, I just got around to looking back at this and did not catch the january statement at first.)

If all is going well on test (you can read up on it. in the test forums). Then I think it should be going live in the next week maybe two.

** If any one does find a hard set time frame on when it goes live, plzs let me know and I will post the date.**

EQ2 Podcast info (allso some other MMO podcast)

This will be a link happy post…

First off over 90% of all my podcast that I like is over at Virginworlds [dot] com. The man that runs it is named Brent and just over a year (I think) ago he put together the “Virginworlds Podcast Collective“. Brent himself does a MMO news podcast named “Virginworlds“. If you take this LINK to Virginworlds [dot] com you can find 31 podcast on his Collective, covering allmost any triple A MMO game.

Now as far as virginworlds(VW) goes I have one here for EQ2.

First I would say check out EQ~IQ Its a great info podcast for EQ2. A great way to git your feet wet for new players and even some info for even the old hands of the game. Allso check out his home page HERE.

* I will not list all the podcast that I like over ther at virginworls. As it’s a lot of them and I would hope that you would make up your on mind as to what you like and what you don’t.

Here is one that has been around for a good long time and seem to be holding there on. EQ2s-day is a great podcast. Not only is it full of good info. They do a great thing. IT”S LIVE  (TUE 4:00pm – 6:00pm PT)

Well, well, well, so my list is way short of what I was thinking.

I do have one that’s not realy a EQ2 podcast per say, but the host of it talks more about eq2 then they do any othere SOE MMORPG game they have. SOE Podcast is a great show and has a great “whats going on with SOE games news” bit at the front of each show.

 

 When I first thought to do a post on what eq2 podcast I like I was thinking of 5 podcast. Well for the most part it seems that two are dead, but I will give you links to them any way. First is eq2-daily The site stil gives you some nice news but it looks as if they have had a podfade. Then there is EQual Perspective, They both was great EQ2 podcast, and checking out there old podcast still may help you out with some info. Just remember that eq2 is a MMO and they tend to chang from time to time.

EQ2 GU 51 more ( Heirloom )

So when I came home from work today, My brother asked me if I had read any thing about “Heirlooms” in EQ2. No I had not so before I even pulled off my steeltoe boots I was jumping into the EQ2 forums and THIS is what I found.

 

It is on the test sever and being tested. Looks like it will be for the The Shadow Odyssey, “Shards and tokens” will have a flag on them.  As allways, some hate it and some like it. I myself love this. Takes me back to my old EQ days. I not only like this, but hope that they will add this into a lot more area’s of the game.

SOE network Outage

oops some one turned off the lights at SOE…..read this

 

[Due to an unexpected outage in our network center, all SOE websites, forums, and login servers are currently unavailable. This outage does not currently affect the game servers and players who are currently in game should not be affected.

Not much today

Lets see, Not much going on this week, or at lest not for me. There was something about some of SOE’s games going to be added to Steam.  EQ2, Everquest & Vanguard I think it was, any way  thay will /or was added to it. So if your into to it check it out.

LOTRO made best game of 2008 on MMORPG ,but give it a week and the people that said it was the best will start saying it is the worst game ever. Just like them with lotro, it’s just my opinoin.

Oh I started having them crazy thoughts of doing a podcast again. Still wanting to do it for the SOE MMO’s. I just don’t know if I want to tie myself up like that. If I was to do it I damn sure don’t want to do a podfade like so many othere’s. So as it stands now it’s still just a thought.

 Game Time…

Well there has only been one game this week and it was EQ2. I pushed my Carp (Carpenter) to level 72 and din’t mean to but hit level 73 as a Conji (Conjuror). I din’t git to play all that much this week and hope that I can make more time for it this coming up week.

 

As for as my guild goes we hit anothere guild level and So at guild level 28 we only need two more level’s. We have the money and only await the level’s now so we can buy a guild hall.

 

Othere than that not much happening for me.
